 Synopsis

Jack Reacher is een veteraan, die als inspecteur bij de militaire politie heeft gewerkt. Nu probeert hij in het burgerlijk leven te integreren. Reacher reist het land door, zonder telefoon op zak en uitgerust met slechts het minimaal benodigde. Op zijn reizen doorkruist hij het land dat hij ooit gediend heeft. Wanneer Reacher aankomt in het kleine dorp Margrave in Georgia, is hij getuige van een kleine gemeenschap dat zijn eerste moord in twintig jaar tijd moet zien te verwerken. Dan wordt Reacher plots gearresteerd: getuigen zagen hem ten tijde van de misdaad op de locatie. Jack moet nu zijn onschuld zien te bewijzen.
