 Synopsis

L'histoire débute dans un jeu qui se nomme Yggdrasil. Tout se passe bien jusqu'à l'annonce de la fin de ce dernier. Nous suivons alors les aventures du personnage appelé Momonga qui est le mage le plus puissant dans ce jeu. Lors de la désactivation de Yggdrasil, l'apparence de notre héros se décompose pour devenir un squelette. Mais son personnage ne fut pas déconnecté, et suite à cela, il décide de ne pas quitter le jeu mais de le gouverner.

Season 4 (2022)

Once a prosperous city known for its trade, it now faces a crisis due to its caution—or even fear—of its king, Ainz Ooal Gown. To make amends, Ainz sends Albedo to the city as a diplomatic envoy. Meanwhile, the cardinals of the Slane Theocracy discuss how to retaliate against Ainz after his attack crippled the Re-Estize Kingdom's army, plotting for the Baharuth Empire to take over the Sorcerer Kingdom. However, when Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El Nix arranges a meeting with the Theocracy's messengers at a colosseum, he is confronted by none other than Ainz himself. With their secret gathering now out in the open, the emperor and his guests learn that Ainz has challenged the Warrior King, the empire's greatest fighter, to a duel. Season 2 (2018)

15 épisodes  | Diffusion : 01/09/2018 Ainz Ooal Gown, the undead sorcerer formerly known as Momonga, has accepted his place in this new world. Though it bears similarities to his beloved virtual reality game Yggdrasil, it still holds many mysteries which he intends to uncover, by utilizing his power as ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. However, ever since the disastrous brainwashing of one of his subordinates, Ainz has become wary of the impending dangers of the Slane Theocracy, as well as the possible existence of other former Yggdrasil players. Meanwhile, Albedo, Demiurge and the rest of Ainz’s loyal guardians set out to prepare for the next step in their campaign: Nazarick’s first war… This season picks up immediately after its prequel, continuing the story of Ainz Ooal Gown, his eclectic army of human-hating guardians, and the many hapless humans affected by the Overlord’s arrival. The alliance of the Lizard men win the battle and defeat the army of undead. The defeat guardian Cocytus and the new ability to learn from their mistakes, prove that the guardians can adapt to new situations. Ainz Ooal Gown therefore changes his tactics, ordering Cocytus to bring the Lizard men to their knees and under the rule of the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

At the outpost in the Tob Forest, Ains strategizes with his guardians, and imposes Shalltear’s penance upon her. The Lizard Man chiefs assemble and receive Cocytus on the battlefield for their final showdown.

However, Momonga, a powerful wizard and master of the dark guild Ainz Ooal Gown, decides to spend his last few moments in the game as the servers begin to shut down. To his surprise, despite the clock having struck midnight, Momonga is still fully conscious as his character and, moreover, the non-player characters appear to have developed personalities of their own! Confronted with this abnormal situation, Momonga commands his loyal servants to help him investigate and take control of this new world, with the hopes of figuring out what has caused this development and if there may be others in the same predicament. While Momonga has some doubts, he accepts Nphirea Balear’s request under the condition that the members of the Swords of Darkness join them. Though her urge to kill keeps distracting her, Clementine continues to slowly find her way to Nphirea.

Momonga and his group continue to Carne Village. There they see that the villagers are working toward fortifying their defenses against possible future enemies. Nphirea meets up with Enri and asks her about this man named Ains Ooal Gown.

After Momonga registers Hamusuke with the guild, he goes to Nphirea’s home to find that his client has been kidnapped. The zombified remains of the Swords of Darkness litter the storage room. And there, Momonga finds the tortured body of Ninya.

Momonga and Narberal begin their respective battles against Clementine and Khajit. Momonga takes this chance to learn about the mechanics of fighting in this world, but in the end, he must show Clementine the consequences of offending him.

Momonga finds out that Shalltear has revolted against him, due to something that had happened while she was on her mission with Sebas and Solution. The story rewinds a bit and goes over that very event. What could possibly change her loyalty to him?

Momonga does damage control at the guild while he assesses the reason for Shalltear’s revolt. Coming to the conclusion that she is under an incurable status effect, Momonga goes to the treasury to retrieve some of the powerful weapons of Nazarick.

Though Shalltear’s skill set puts Momonga at a complete disadvantage, he steps forward into battle. He gave various world items to his guardians to ensure the safety of Nazarick in his absence. Now, all that is left is a battle of life and death!

Momonga reminds Shalltear that he is the master of Nazarick and that his name carries the weight of all the supreme beings of Ains Ooal Gown. After the battle comes to a close, Momonga quickly takes action to strengthen the defenses of Nazarick.
