Candice Renoir had put her career on standby for 10 years. When she returns from Singapore to resume service in a port town in the south of France, she feels a bit “rusty”. Despite the obvious defiance of her unit and a cynical superior who doesn’t make her job any easier, she is determined to turn her so-called weaknesses into strengths, solving the most complex cases with her common sense, her acute observation and her practical nature seasoned by a busy daily routine. Only Candice can catch a killer because she knows the chemical composition of a window-cleaning product or determine the hour of a murder from the cooking-time of kebabs… Candice is only naive on the outside, and nobody can resist her!

The body of Mélanie Meyrieux is discovered lying below a quarry and it is not an accident. A report is made with the moving and storage company that she managed with her husband and her brother-in-law.

Zoé Sénéchal, 15, has just run away again and this time it has been more than a week since she left.

Four women put up anti-feminicide posters; however, a car comes up, drives up the sidewalk and smashes into the group. One of the four women is hit and falls back on the asphalt seriously injured.

The team frames a drug dealer for murder. Candice and Antoine question him for hours. The news of Commander Renoir's departure for Montpellier has spread and everyone wants to attend.

Although she's placed on admin duty for hiding Antoine's amnesia, Candice can't help but get involved when a harassment victim goes missing and then turns up dead.

With Candice still confined to administrative work, Antoine sends Val to the scene of a fatal car crash. She notices an empty cache box typically used to store drugs and suspects the crash was no accident.

In a protest against capital punishment, students dangle four fake hooded corpses from the roof of their exclusive prep school. The scene turns tragic when Antoine realizes one of the corpses is all too real.

Candice receives a call from a man who claims he is in mortal danger and says he possesses documents that incriminate a pharmaceutical company in causing leukemia. When he is murdered while on the line, Candice is left with only the call for clues.

The detectives are called to an alley where a psychiatrist has been murdered. As they dig into the case, a curious link emerges to sexual reorientation workshops.

A cosmetic surgeon's body is found in a villa pool with her face slashed and then a man with a bandaged face is found in the bathroom. Candice tries to unravel a mystery that may come down to whether the surgery was cosmetic or reconstructive.

The president of a hunting association is found dead in a wild boar enclosure, his body partly devoured. Solving the case just might help Candice regain favor in the office.

Candice has the opportunity to solve a locked-room mystery like Agatha Christie when the investigators and suspects are sequestered in the victim's possibly haunted mansion.

When a bloodied medical student arrives at the station after suffering an assault, it becomes clear she's a victim of cyber harassment. Candice tracks a man who exploits his followers and assigns targets to attack.

A dead body is found at a cabaret show that Candice had attended the night before. The news leaves her with a bad feeling about just what awaits her at the crime scene. A bomb threat suspends activity at the BSU.

On the seashore a seemingly unremarkable woman is found dead, and only Candice is able to guess the victim's double life.

2 : The More, the Merrier?

Candice's children are having trouble adjusting to their new life and Candice's team are having trouble adjusting to their new boss. There are still crimes to be solved and Candice and her friend Pascale, the forensic pathologist, are called to the scene when a man is found dead lying next to his barbecue.

3 : Eat and Drink, for Tomorrow We Shall Die!

When 17-year-old Arthur is thrown into the harbor, Candice learns he was binge drinking, an activity she"s never heard of. The young man survives but the case strikes close to home for Candice, as she's having problems with her own teenager, Emma. In the end, it's these very difficulties as a mother that help her crack Arthur"s case.

Having only had one lover in her life—her ex-husband—Candice is hesitant to go to bed with her handsome neighbor, Hervé. Candice recognizes the victim as an occasional prostitute and she deploys her unique assets to gain access to a "special" party.

One night, Candice is called to an emergency at a local hotel after a wheelchair-bound man is thrown down a flight of stairs. It turns out the man had leukemia and had been tended to by the hotel staff but lately his condition had worsened. Was it attempted murder, or suicide? Candice feels exhausted from the demands of work and motherhood when someone appears out of the blue to make it all worse.

6 : Never a Borrower nor a Lender Be

The kids are happy to have their father, Laurent, back home but Candice is far from thrilled. Meanwhile, she has work to do, as a woman in her 40s is found dead in her car. Candice notes the scent of a plant-based poison and learns the woman was an aficionada of natural medicines. As she calls upon her knowledge of herbal remedies to help solve the case, she also learns Laurent"s true intentions.

When teenager Dylan Rieux is found murdered in a field with cannabis in his pocket, for Antoine it's a drug crime but for Candice it's a love story gone wrong. The victim was in love with a girl named Juliette, who left him to join an evangelical group. Candice sets out to locate the religious community and cast light on Dylan's death.

8 : The End Justifies the Means

When Antoine is temporarily assigned to a different police division, Candice is on her own to solve the case of Sabine Missoni, a naval architect murdered on her work site. With other team members also unavailable, Candice is coming up short until her twin boys unexpectedly provide a clue. Meanwhile, Laurent makes a decision that could impact Candice's relationship with Hervé.
