In 2005, the Czech audiovisual industry was not at its best. Rather than giving up, a few producers took up some ambitious and very costly challenges. Shot in North Africa, Tobruk recounts the famous battle by focusing on a few soldiers who have to set their courage against the tragic realities in the bloody desert. Two Czech Cinema Lions were awarded to this drama which will appeal to fans of The Thin Red Line.
