De 33-jarige Hélène leeft al jaren gelukkig met Mathieu in Bordeaux. Hun diepe band wordt op de proef gesteld sinds Hélène is gediagnosticeerd met een zeldzame longziekte. Terwijl zij de hoop op genezing heeft opgegeven en zich steeds meer in zichzelf keert, is Mathieu ervan overtuigd dat een longtransplantatie het tij kan keren. Op zoek naar antwoorden stuit Hélène op een Noorse blogger die ernstig ziek is en zijn situatie met humor beschrijft. In een opwelling reist ze naar het Hoge Noorden om hem te ontmoeten en met zichzelf en haar lot in het reine te komen.
