Fiona, a shy and nerdy librarian, visits Paris for the first time to assist her myopic octogenarian Aunt Martha. All manner of comic catastrophes ensue, mainly involving Dom, a gently anarchic homeless man who has yet to have an emotion or thought he was afraid of expressing, or an appetite he hasn't tried to immediately satisfy.
