2007 Comedy Netherlands 96 minutes
Dunya and Desie, both teenagers, have grown up together in
Amsterdam. While adopted Desie is as Dutch as tulips, Dunya is
of Moroccan extraction, and has grown up with Ramadan, imams and Mecca. On her 18th birthday Dunya is told that she is to marry a second cousin from Morocco whom she will meet during a family holiday.
Meanwhile Desie, who has been taking driving lessons, becomes
pregnant by her instructor, at which point she decides to find her
biological father. When she finds out that he is in Morocco, Dunya and Desie decide to go and look for him together.
They soon find out that Morocco is not Amsterdam. Although they enjoy some hilarious adventures they are soon forced to make an important decision.
