Tom Cullen (born 17 July 1985) is a Welsh stage and screen actor. 
 
Early lifeBorn in Aberystwyth, Cullen was brought up in Cardiff. He has a brother named Joseph and a sister named Ruth. 
 
Early career 
Cullen spent a year at the Central School of Speech and Drama before completing his training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in July 2009. In 2006, whilst still in training, Cullen filmed Daddy's Girl (BAFTA Cymru Best Film - Winner) alongside Jaime Winstone and Richard Harrigton, and Watch Me (BAFTA Cymru Best Short - Nomination). 
 
Acting career 
His professional career began in the summer 2009 starring in BBC Television short 20 Questions, for which he won Best Actor at the IMS Awards. In 2010 Cullen's stage work included the Bristol Old Vic, National Theatre Wales, Nabokov Theatre Company, Television included Pen Talar, All Shook Up, Locked Up and Film included The Machine and Panic Button. 
 
Cullen's breakthrough performance came in 2011 when he starred alongside Chris New in Weekend, directed by Andrew Haigh. Weekend collected numerous awards including the Audience Award at SXSW, Grand Jury at Outfest, the Grand Jury and Best Actor award for Cullen at the Nashville Film Festival and he won Most Promising Newcomer at the British Independent Film Awards. 
 
In 2011 Cullen performed in the third episode of Black Mirror. 
 
Cullen was named on the 2011 Screen International Stars of Tomorrow list alongside Alexandra Roach and Douglas Booth. 
 
Cullen is currently filming World Without End (Scott Free Productions/Tandem Communications) alongside Cynthia Nixon, Miranda Richardson and Peter Firth. 
 
Cullen is Artistic Director of Undeb Theatre.
