Filmography Dominic Purcell

Dominic Haakon Myrtvedt Purcell[1] (born 17 February 1970) is a British-born Australian actor best known for his role as Lincoln Burrows in Prison Break, the title character in John Doe, and Dracula in Blade: Trinity. 
 
At the age of 2, Dominic and his family moved from England to Sydney's Bondi and later moved to the Western Suburbs. Purcell's mother is Irish and his father is Norwegian. They currently reside in Louth Ireland with the rest of his extended family.[2] He attended Blaxland East Public School in his elementary school years and went to St Dominic's Priory School and McCarthy Catholic College for high school. After becoming a landscape gardener, he soon tired of the profession and, whilst watching the war movie Platoon, decided to become an actor. Due to his working class background, acting seemed a very unlikely choice of career, so he didn't pursue it until sometime later. He studied at the Australian Theatre for Young People and then later enrolled at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts where he met his future wife Rebecca and studied with Hugh Jackman.[3] 
 
He went on to play a successful part as Lincoln Burrows in the hit TV show Prison Break.
